It’s a brand-new year! A clean unmarked slate!! Savoring this calendric turnover and absorbing all its best, these next few months mark a positive transit surge forward in which those strategically positioned with personal, professional and spiritual objectives zoom forward with ease and efficiency. How cool to be one of those folks. The good news is, with a fresh new slate you can be one of those folks perfectly planet persuasion propelled.
Sure, sure there’s a psychic hangover of sorts. And Venus is conjunct Pluto in Capricorn. So you managed to find out the life expectancy of the new toys you got during the holidays. Or maybe you didn’t get the toy and the gift card to buy anything you want just ain’t quite enough. Maybe you got gifts that made you wonder “Why would they think I want or even need that? What do they think of me really?” No matter. Today, New Year’s Day, agree to a few new consciously selected agendas that you know without absolute doubt suit your nature. First, promise yourself you will gift yourself with something totally amazing at some time during the next twelve months. It does not have to be a tangible gift. You can gift yourself insight or creativity and at some point this year, you consciously agree to engage it fully. Awesome! Oh, by the way, write down when you’re going to do this.
There’s that new year resolution thing, too. What a bummer to start the year out with retrograde M & M’s. Yep, Mercury and Mars both retrograde now. At least Makemake is direct. What to do about this? Well, throw out any new year’s resolutions already made. Redefine them and reconsecrate them as Mercury turns direct on 18 January. While resolutions gestate in the mental hopper, how about clearing any backlog of work you did not finish last year? That and going through the process of cleaning anything that must be cleaned and cataloging and storing anything in the way. Imagine being at the end of a runway, ready to take off with a load on board you know your fuel (energy) can handle. Rev and check the engines for balance. Then, as Mars resumes prograde motion on 12 January announce you are ready for takeoff... at least ready to engage the new year with glee, gusto and galactic backing.
Speaking of galactic backing, Saturn stands at 22 Aquarius and change as the new year arrives - a degree common in the charts of many notable astrologers. Not an astrologer? No matter. What matters is being sufficiently tuned into the Cosmos such that the meaning and motivation (there’s those m & m’s again) of all cosmic messaging can be received, processed, comprehended and engaged. That, by the way, shifts the pessimistic view of personal planets retrograde and sets the planets spinning like finely tuned tops. Verily, the insight of this transit to the beyond the beyond is available to all who pause, ponder and take the time to perceive.
Within the past twenty-four hours the Sun in Capricorn squared Makemake, which is conjunct Ceres in Libra. Also, the Sun balanced things out by squaring Chiron in Aries, who eagerly awaits Jupiter’s rapid approach and conjunction reenforcement (which occurs as February begins). This is a heap to unpack. Lets’s start with Jupiter coming to Chiron. This offers vast psychic and emotional relief from any angst, or negative input previously received and believed in life. A reboot is in order. New batteries can be installed. Healing can occur. Determination to directly display the best of ones skills and assets replaces the sting of any critics or trolls who attempted to debilitate your endeavors. Commit to believing in whom you believe yourself to be. Endorse your skills and capabilities and let everyone know what lies within your wheelhouse of capabilities. That’s what the Sun-Jupiter-Chiron hokey-pokey is all about.
On the other side of this creatively designing t-square lies the solar square to Makemake and Ceres. These two are warrior spirits committed to fighting and advocating for one to receive their fair due in life, stemming from the acknowledgment of all capabilities realized to be possessed by said person. On the mark of this transit stands the conscious thought that, “Hey, I really can do all this groovy stuff.
